The parent email address on your scout's application will get added to our mailing lists when you officially join the troop.
Let us know if there are additional email addresses to be added -
The scout should have their own email address for troop communications.
Some have parent-monitored accounts like the one described HERE, others use an account such as the student@pausd.us associated with their scool.
It is helpful to support the troop by signing up at least one adult from your family. See more details about adult roles and registration information HERE
Submit BSA medical forms for your scout.
Parts A & B of the medical forms are required for your scout to be able to attend outings with Troop 14.
Part C can be filled out later. It is required for activities > 3 days, like a week-long summer camp, and must be signed by a doctor.
You can find the forms here: LINK
Buy a copy of the lastest Scout Handbook.
Strongly consider getting the zip-up cover for it.
The first thing you should do is write the Scout's name in the front of handbook, there is space
for it on the first page.
Buy the uniform parts that you do not already own. Scouts who were in Cubs may already own the tan scout shirt.
For a small fee, the Scout Shop will sew patches onto the uniform.
Contact William for details at wcb4449@gmail.com.
You can purchase Scouting related materials at a Council Scout Shop.
The nearest one is on Middlefield Rd. in the Lucie Stern Center.
See PackSky Scout Shops for hours and locations.
After you get a Scout Handbook, work through the Youth Protection Parent's Guide in the pamphlet behind the cover and work through the exercises on Personal Safety Awareness with your Scout.
This is Requirement #6 for Scout Rank, the first rank. When you have finished, you can sign this requirement as complete in the back of their Handbook on page 439. (TODO: verify this page number in latest handbook!)
